October is a much welcomed month here. Cool, crisp weather, apple picking, hot apple cider, apple cider donuts, foliage and the sports cannot be beat. Baseball is in its post season, football is getting into full swing, and hockey pucks are dropping once again.
This year Lauren and I are watching our teams, the Red Sox and Mets, hang on for dear life as they try to win their divisions. While we both want them to do just that, we are wondering what another Sox/Mets World Series would do to us. I'm sure we can handle it, as long as Bill Buckner is not playing.
Now, I'm not going to stir up anything, but we all know that the American League teams are much better than National League teams. I digress, and we will have a lot of fun if our teams face one another later this month.
Please, if I don't post a blog within a month of October 26th, please send help!
As far as my pumpkin reference, above, under #2, get ready for Lauren and Mike's Second Annual Pumpkin Painting Contest. Last year, Lauren transformed her pumpkin into a mini-Mr. Met. Mike, after a slow start, painted the Patriots logo onto his. No official vote was taken, so it was considered a tie.
This year it is for "all the marbles" and we will post pictures on our blog. We will ask you, our friends, to vote.

Great job on the website. October is a good month for all the reasons you mentioned and the weather continues to be be good for baseball and football. And we've got plenty of both coming up. I think there is very good chance of a rematch bewteen the Sox and Mets in the WS 2007. Think they'd be much interest in a Pedro/Schilling matchup. Pats/Cincy

Just wanted to add my bit -- love the idea with the pumpkins. I can't wait to see the photos...we may have to bring that idea to Ireland. As for the baseball/sports stuff -- not sure what to say there. The only baseball game I've ever watched was with you, Ceppo & Carrie in South Florida. Who was that team anyway. Good times -- seems like a lifetime ago!! Keep up the blog -- I'm getting addicted!
