Light the Night

Tonight was the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk to benefit research and support for blood cancers and its patients. Mike, his sister, Mary Ellen, and I represented "Sue's LLS Team" for this two-mile-or-so walk around Boston Common. OK, so we didn't exactly finish the walk entirely (it was freezing and starting to rain), but we showed our support to the cause and got to see the great turnout of hundreds and hundreds of participants.
Among those who said a few words before the walk began were local WCBV-TV sportscaster Mike Dowling, and former Patriots offensive tackle Joe Andruzzi, a lymphoma survivor.
Thanks to the generous donations of family, friends and co-workers, our team raised around $3,000.
