Caring for a Cure
The nurses of Mass General's oncology ward put together a 5K charity walk/run in Marshfield last month on June 30. I participated, along with Mike's sisters Susan, Karen and Mary Ellen. Ann Marie and the kids came to cheer us on at the finish line, Mike's friend Steve Mahoney and our co-workers, Lisa, Nikki and her husband, Pete, also came out to compete and support the cause. The best part of the day was seeing many of Mike's nurses. It was good to see them without having to re-visit the hospital (though parts of me still miss that place). I walked most of the course, but had a few moments of inspiration where I ran. Mike would have been proud (even though he hated running).

Mike's nurse, Cindy (aka, "Dr. Harrington")
The Lunder 10 nurses, many of whom cared for Mike
