DMB

Dave Matthews Band was one of Mike's favorite groups.  I always thought they were talented, but I really got into them because of him.  We only got to see them in concert together one time, so when I decided to see them at Jones Beach on June 26, I knew it would be a very different feeling for me than the last time I saw them.

My friend, Debbie, drove down from Scituate to see the concert with me, and we had a great time.  We got there early, got some airbrushed tattoos, signed up for The New York Times so we could get free DMB t-shirts (speaking of that, I really have to remember to cancel that newspaper....) and enjoyed being out in the fresh ocean air.  After a brief downpour following the opening act, Dave hit the stage and, as always, put on an excellent show.  I had some moments that were difficult, but I managed to hold it together and enjoyed the concert.  I like to think Mike got to see me enjoying myself.

Debbie and I got some lunch -- and Starbucks coffee -- in Port Jefferson the following day before she took the ferry back to MA
