Second Chances, Part II

The hardest thing I have ever lived through was losing Mike.  I still have my moments of struggle.  The last thing I ever expected in my "new life" was finding love.  And beyond that, the last thing I expected was marrying anyone else.  But God must have had more plans for me that I thought.
On October 18, Mark and I went into New York City for what I thought was a simple weekend getaway.  However, Mark had long-term plans in mind.  He took me to Times Square, where we stood directly underneath the New Year's Eve ball.  Mark told me that whenever I experienced a new year in the future, he wanted me to remember this moment, and think of the new beginning that was given to us.  From there, he got down on one knee and proposed to me.  Yup, he asked me to be his wife, and I said yes....
God knew Mark and I still have a lot of living to do, and He has given us the blessing of experiencing that together.
